Ms. Poonam Maadam was first elected in 2014 as a Member of Parliament to Lok Sabha. She is the face of young India; dynamic and hardworking contributing to the India of our dreams.

Right from focusing on the development agenda to fighting for the needs of the economically poor; from prioritizing women's safety to advocating for women's rights Ms. Poonam Maadam represents the new age politics of development and an inclusion.

Ms. Maadam has been honoured to represent the people of Jamnagar and take their concerns and needs to the Parliament. She served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly, prior to becoming an MP. Recognizing her hard work and commitment to people, during this tenure, the Bharatiya Janta Party extended their support to her to embark on a journey to lead the young India from front.

She depicts the transformation in India that is taking place and her mission is to relentless work for the betterment of people. She believes that we all have to contribute in our own capacity to strengthen the cause of nation building and economic development. In her words, as you would often hear her saying, "You and I can help transform India. Together we can build the India of our dreams." Ms. Maadam splits her time between Jamnagar and Delhi is involved with an array of local organizations, micro and small scale industries and community centres which in their own way contribute to Jamnagar as a thriving city. Meeting constituents, whether it is for regular session or just in the street has always been her priority and she devotes much time for the welfare of the people in her constituency.
